My name is Tanja and I’m an artist, mother of two sons, wife, and former teacher.

Some years ago I wouldn’t have called myself an artist.

I studied to become an arts and English teacher for middle school and that was my job for 22 years. I had stopped painting for myself completely.

But God had different plans. After more than twenty years I picked up the brush again and since then a stream of paintings has come out.

By now I have left my job as a middle school teacher and I only teach a few lessons at a Christian elementary school in Augsburg/Germany.

It makes me very happy to meet people who have been touched by my paintings and I treasure those encounters. If there is a painting that has touched your heart, I’d love to hear about it.

I love the fact that pictures have the ability to circumvent our brains and go straight to the heart.

I typically use gold and blue in my paintings. It has become a trademark for me.
